Happy New Year! + Very late what I got for Christmas!

Hello there,

Happy New Year! I hope 2013 brings you everything you wish for!

I am now a fully qualified stylist! I qualified in November 2012. It seemed like a very long time coming. Thinking about my future as a hairdresser the possibilities are endless! I think I would like to go on a course for Extensions and Wigs!

Here is a few little pictures of the presents that I got from my friends and family and Ryan at Christmas.

My favourite present was my Ted Baker purse from Ryan. It was a total surprise as I completly forgot about asking for a purse. It is leopard print which of course is my absolute favourite! Its just gorgeous and I'm a little scared to put it down incase I ruin it.

I usually ask for a specific perfume but this year didn't. Ryan is brilliant at choosing perfumes for me. He got my Giorgio Armani - Armani Code. It is a beautiful smell, not overpowering but long lasting. I can still smell it on me throughout the day. He got me the 50ml and also the small handbag size.

I had a few months ago seen the leopard print love links charm. It was sparkly, and as I love leopard print was just perfect! My lovelinks bracelet is mostly pinks and silver, but being leopard print I just had to have it! This was another well thought about present from Ryan.

Ryan's mum bought me a Ted Baker make up set. I've unpacked what was inside so that's why I only took a photo of the items I bought outside of it. I have used the Kohl eyeliner and bronzer that came with it. They are both brilliant. I am using the box that the make-up came in to hold all of my nail varnishes and eyelashes.

Being a hairdresser at my salon we were selling the limited edition GHD's. Everyday they were on our shelf I would want them more and more! Christmas eve the gold ones hadn't sold. So I decided to buy them. With staff discount of course ;) I had the previous year had the Scarlett Deluxe set bought for me by Ryan. There was nothing wrong with the scarlet pair, I just thought I couldn't resist these. As my scarlet pair are over a year old now, they aren't as hot as they used to be. So I tend to use my new gold pair for curling etc.

I am a massive disney film fan. I have most of them but for ages couldn't find it. My mum and dad got me Cinderella on dvd + White Chicks. My favourite ridiculous comedy.

These were mostly the interesting presents that I got. As I am moving out in a matter of weeks, most of my family bought me things of use. For example; Glasses, Mugs, Towels and Kitchen Utensils. So when I have moved out into my little house I will do a blog on all my favourite house things!

My new years resolutions are
1. To do more exercise
2. To blog more
3. To do an hair extension course
4. To save for New York 2014

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year..
I will be blogging about moving house as much as possible.

Love Nat

Review on a skin saviour - Crystal Clear + OOTD

Crystal Clear Deep Cleanse Gel

Hello there!

I thought I would do a review on a product that I can truely say has worked wonders for me.

I had been suffering with bad skin, mainly on my forehead (T-zone) for a number of months and I couldn't seem to find anything that helped. I tried a number of face washes and moisturisers from Boots/Superdrug. I also tried for several months Pro-activ, I didn't think it helped at all. In fact I am pretty sure it irritated my skin even more. I would defienitly not recommend that! A complete waste of money.

For some people it's hard to describe why it is so difficult to find the right products for your skin. Other's have also said to me -

"Why don't you stop wearing your make-up as it's making your skin worse"

It's this cycle you get stuck in, well it is for me anyway.

1: You have bad skin - and the one thing you want to do is hide it.
2: You cover with foundation/concealer/powder - Locking it all in.
3: This makes your skin worse

Many would say - Don't be so vain! Nobody cares!
But you feel so self consious when you have bad skin.
I do have make-up free days, Sundays mostly when I'm being very lazy doing nothing.

I was recommended the deep cleansing gel by my beauty therapist.  I was a little sceptical about buying this as nothing else had worked for me. It was £20.00, however when I looked online at the Crystal Clear website it was £27.00. So you may find prices vary.
It came in a proffesional looking box, with a guide book/leaflet inside. The bottle itself is a good size -200ml, it fits perfectly in my washbag for when I go away. The other thing about this bottle is it has a pump, which I find much easier to use.

That same day, I went home and used it. I first removed my make up - it also says you can remove your make up with it! I will have to try that. I pumped a small-ish amount onto my hands and rubbed them together. This facewash is soap-free so you can't make much foam with it. I rubbed this all over my face, in circular motions. Focusing mostly on my forehead and nose, I left for about 30 seconds before rinsing with luke warm water.
Instantly my skin felt better.

Would I recommend? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
That's a YES!

I have now been using this for about 3 weeks. I can honestly say that my skin has been so much better. I don't have to wear make-up all the time to cover up!  I would say if I carried on using this for 1-2 months my skin would be back to how it used to be.

I feel so much happier ♥

I hope that at least one person who is in the same situation as I used to be read's this,
and that it possibly help!

It's worth a try (:

I also just wanted to put a OOTD from a few weekends ago.
I went to my boyfriend's aunt's 60th birthday party/40th wedding anniversary.
We stayed in a cute little cottage/hotel near Evesham.
The hotel garden looked right onto the River Avon.

I really struggled over finding something smart/casual to wear, but did my best.

My jeans were Topshop - (Not the exact ones but the closest too)http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=4629960&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208527&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=20&refinements=category~[330510|208527]&noOfRefinements=1

My top was also Topshop - I would say go down in a size as it is very big!http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=101&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=6422043&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=230160&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=20

My shoes were also Topshop but in the sale for £10.00.
But I don't think they have them anymore ):
I had a black blazer but it had been such a beautiful weekend I didn't need it!

I found the chunky coral bracelet in H&M on a mad dash to try and find something quickly.

I kept my make-up fairly simple, and had my hair in a rather large beehive..
I didnt realise quite how large it was!

Hope you liked this blog! I will be doing another couple of blogs about a few trips to London coming up in October.

Thanks again for reading,

If there is something you don't think I have covered leave me a question..

Long time no see! (Hollywood lashes review)

Hello!

I've been really busy with my hairdressing the last couple of months. Hence why I havent been writing blogs. I'm qualifiying in November this year, so there isn't long to go! Which is really scary knowing I'l be out in the big wide world on my own..

It has been absolutly ages since I've written a blog.. So I thought I would start again. Plus I have really wanted to write a honest review on the Hollywood Eyelash Extensions

For the past couple of months I have been getting the Hollywood Eyelash Extensions as I was completly fed up of having to put the strip eyelashes on everyday. It was about two years ago that I started wearing the strip eyelashes, its not that I didnt like my own eyelashes at the time. I was fed up of having to put 3-4 coats of mascara on my eyelashes everyday. I also HATED taking it off, it would always smudge, never come off etc. So I decided to start wearing the strip eyelashes. It was fine for the first couple of months, but after that I noticed my own eyelashes had gone very short and weak. I took a break from the strip eyelashes in the hopes that my own would grow back. But they didn't.

My eyelashes before I started wearing the false eyelashes -^
So I decided to look into the Semi Permanent Eyelashes.. There were two options -
  • The indvidual lashes for the natural look
  • The Hollywood eyelash extensions for a fuller look
I thought about both of the options as it was quite a lot of money for both. The only problem I would've had with the individual lashes is that I didn't have that many to start with.. I had also seen lots of youtube videos and reviews on the awful spidery look some people had got from the individuals. So I made the decision to go with the Hollywood Eyelash Extensions.

A friend who I go to college with works at a salon where they did the eyelashes, she was able to give me a little infomation about them. After a few weeks of debating whether to or not I booked an appointment. I was curious about what it would be like, as I'm not too keen on anybody else doing my make-up (probably weird I know but..) I was also scared of not liking them and not being able to really do anything about it.

I was offered to have a skin test, but I didnt feel like I needed to as I had used a simular glue for years before. But ;
I would say that if you do have any allergies to make-up or glue to definitely have one + Always better to be safe then sorry

Before I laid down to have the eyelashes done, I was asked how I would like them - I had brought a picture with me, which I would suggest you do. So then nobody can get confused. I had this photo >
They were slightly longer on the outer lashes, giving the curl effect.

The treatment itself was really relaxing. I laid down on a bed and the beautician placed tape on my bottom eyelashes. That felt a little strange but as soon as my eyes were closed it was fine. For the next 35-40mins, I hardly felt a thing. I actually almost fell asleep! She explained to me that I musn't get the eyelashes wet for the next 2 hours to make sure that the glue was 100% set. When she had finished she removed the tape from my bottom eyelashes, I was excited to see the result. Looking in the mirror I was so pleased, they were exactly how I wanted them.

I booked an appointment for 2 and a half weeks later, just for infills.

Over the two weeks, the eyelashes were AMAZING. I could wake up in the morning knowing that my eyelashes were all ready. I got so many compliments about them, where as with my strip eyelashes people would always say how they were very OTT. I knew that I could wake up when I was with my boyfriend looking half decent! Not giving him a fright with my bald eyeballs haha! When I went back for my infills they literally took 20mins max, I just had a few re-glued. I honestly dont know what I would of done without them now!
The only thing that I have had to be careful about is the fact i sleep on my right side, so I have had to change every other night to make sure I dont bend them.

Hollywood Eyelashes Pro's
  • You can wake up in the morning knowing your eyes are ready. No faffing about with glue and strip eyelashes.
  • Beautiful natural looking eyelashes 24/7
  • No messing about with eye make up remover
  • No panda eyes
  • Fluttering them to get things you want
  • Plenty of compliments ;)

Hollywood Eyelashes Con's (There aren't many, but there are a few things that I thought of)
  • No good if you like being able to remove strip eyelashes at the end of the day
  • No good If you constantly rub your eyes
  • No good if the first thing you do is get in the shower and put your head under the water
  • No good if you go swimming a lot (They can withstand some water, but for those divers out there!)
  • No good if you sleep on your front, as you may wake up with them attached to your eyebrows!
I also went on a 11 day holiday to turkey with tempuratures of 33 ° and I can 100% say that they stayed in place perfectly.  They withstood the heat and sea water. It was so nice to be able to wake up in the morning, put my bikini on and run down to the beach knowing I looked OK. I've been abroad before wearing the strip eyelashes and it was an absolute nightmare.. What with the heat, you would end up with one end curling up.. or even worse falling off completly!!

My boyfriend and I being mega cheesy on holiday!

I really hope this has helped just one person decide on whether or not to get these amazing eyelashes. If you feel I havent covered anything, please ask me..

Thanks for reading,
 Nat ♥
I also wanted to just add a quick photo of my 'puppy' Pippa. Who I mentioned in my first blog, when she was a tiny 8weeks old. She is now a huge beast!

Cheeky little buys.

I'm just awful at saving money.
I'm going away in 17days... (yes i'm counting down)
I've only gone and bought a few more things.. They were mostly in the sale ;)

I also went to salon international yesterday (monday 17th october) I'd never been, it was crazy. But I got some lovely little samples of morrocanoil and there gorgeous hairspray! I'm not the type of person to push to get things... So my friend and I went and got a cuppa tea, while the rest of my friends fought there way to get bits and bobs. Madness. Bit too stressful for me ;)

The first little thing that I bought was a river island purse that I have wanted for absolutly ages! Its black and got a retro sort of design on the front. Its got a really bright coral lining. The one thing that really drew me to buying this was the cute little gold clips, (that i nearly caught my nail in) This was £17.

As I was already in river island it was rude not to look through the sale rail! I picked up this cute pinky/cream blouse. It's got an adorable bow and is simple enough to wear for daytime.. Or dress it up for an evening look... It was only £15! Its also the perfect colour to go with the shoes I got from next!

On sunday I wanted to check out the new big next about 35mins drive away from me. It was mega busy, after all it had only been open for a few weeks. I picked up two pairs of shoes.. Both were a reasonable price and I knew that I would wear them quite a bit.

The first pair are tan ankle boots. I am on my feet all day long at the salon so these are great. I can say that they are mega comfy as I wore them to London monday! They have sweet little buckles, I normally wear them with grey or cream thick socks when its really cold. I would advise to buy a half a size bigger if you do want to wear big socks with them. £26

The second pair were nude heels. They are really comfortable! I was surprised as normally they really aren't. They are square at the front of the shoe which i really loved, I find them easy to walk in and they will go with anything! (Really bad photos sorry)

In my last blog a couple of people really loved the £15 dress from miso-republic. I tried to get a photo of me wearing it, but its all out of focus and awful! I'l be wearing it out for my 18th, thats if i dont buy something else.. which I most probably will!
I know they are really bad photos but you should be able to see what its like! I want to find a skinny belt to go round the waist.. I think it needs it... What do you all think?

Thank you to all my 29 followers :')
Its really lovely knowing people read all of this... me babbling on!

Happy October!

Hello all of my 22 followers! Ahh thats crazy... never even thought I would have one.
September went by pretty fast for me.. its four weeks today til my birthday... SCARY stuff. I'm going shopping at Bluewater for the weekend for it... What a surprise right? I'm trying my hardest to save save save... so I can go on a mahooosive shopping spree... But I'm just no good at saving.... :(

I really wanted a navy blue gilet for this weird summer/wintery weather... So I found this gorgeous gilet from Republic and it was only £29.99p. The only thing that annoyed me was that I bought two other things aswell as this in the sale... I put down for it to be delivered on a saturday and it never turned up! So I'm still eagerly awaiting this...

I also got a black, one shouldered dress. I thought it would go with any colour heels, or accessories! I also love the floaty arm..... I'm not sure when I'm going to wear this.. Plus it was only £15.99p reduced from £20.00p!

The last thing from Republic I bought was a Cape Shirt... Its a lovely rust/burnt orange colour with a cute black collar. I think I will probably wear this with skinny jeans and wedges.... Thats if I like it... Normally I see things and just get them because they are in the sale... Its an obsession.... This was also £15.00p... But it seems to have been taken off the website... So I can't put a photo up :( I will put a photo up of me wearing it IF I like it and don't send it back.

H&M online has been so brilliant recently for beachwear. I'm hoping to go to Egypt next year on holiday and have been starting to collect bits and bobs already. I managed to buy a cute bikini for £3.98! Its white with adorable little beads on.. I always struggle to find bikinis when I actually need them, so I kinda grab them when I can.. Especially when they are at that price! (The bikini is white that I got but the only photo I could get was black)

I also bought a cute beach towel for £3.49 which was just crazy and a floaty little cover up dress.. I seriously couldn't believe the prices for all of the bikinis.. Wish I could of bought them all.

I picked up a few goodies while shopping on my lunch break yesterday... Superdrug ALWAYS has amazing deals or special offers, I love there new loyalty card too, you actually get money off unlike Boots.

I've wanted to try the Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner as I have seen this on the telly quite a bit. It was £1.29 which must of been the introductory price. I normally use my salons conditioner but decided to have a change and try this. Its quite thick and smells really lovely. I put quite a fair amount all over my hair and left for a good 3-4 minutes. My hair after felt really soft and actually controlable. I'l give it a week or two and will probably leave it on for a bit longer next time to let it work its magic.

On one of my last blogs I reviewed a Famous lipstick and nail varnish, I bought another one in shade 2 tres chic. Its a light purple shade and is very suttle, like my nail varnish I usually play it safe.. But decided to give this a try. I really like it, maybe not as much as the Pucker up red/orange, which was another shade I got in the Famous range. I've also read recently about Sleek make-up, so decided to try a lipstick which sounded gorgeous- Peaches and Cream, however I was slightly dissapointed, its very very orange, and not at all creamy. I think it looks pretty ridicoulous.. But I could wear it on Halloween if I go to a party dressed as a Pumpkin.. Which won't happen.

I also forgot to put in my last blog about these two pretty notebooks I got for college in Gloucster.. they are 1950 fashion magazine style and were only £2.99 for BOTH. I've done so much writing in them... what a nerd... Thats what my boyfriend called me anyway.

And finally my find of yesterday.. A pair of Stone/Taupe suede wedges.. That I have been looking for for ages. I was just strolling through New Look waiting for my friend to find what she was looking for when I walked past the shoe sale. These beauts were just there, staring at me. The only pair left. In my size. I could of like screamed, this never ever happens. Shoes in the sale are always the size 8-9 that won't ever fit me.. I'm in love with these, they probably would of been better if they were black but I'm really not going to complain and for only £15.00p

About a month ago my best friend took some photos of me with her new camera. They came out really sharp and you could really tell the differance between them to my ipod camera! Here is my mums favourite.. (How cringy)
Last thing.
Why are passport photos so bloody awful?!
Eurgh.

Lorenzo's Christening ♥ Weekend away with the boyfriend

This weekend my boyfriend and I went to stay with his dad in Gloucester. We were there for his cousins son Lorenzo's christening. We had a five day break which was much needed! I just wanted to show you what I wore and what I bought in Primark in Cheltenham.

I'd had my outfit planned for about a month (I'm like that you see) I decided to stay quite simple as I didn't want to stick out! I bought a cream/peach dress from Asos- £45.00

When I bought it they did have it in a Cream, but they now only seem to do it in Black, Tomato or a pale blue colour. Its a really pretty dress, just above the knee, with a gorgeous gold sequined pattern around the waist.

I wore a black blazer with it from Misguided- £22.99
It has little shoulder pads and was was well fitted. The only thing that annoyed me was that the clasp at the front kept undoing!

They were SO comfy and I wore them literally all day! They have this really cute ruffled flower design to the front of the shoe. As I will most probably wear them again, unlike most of the others I buy.

This is the only picture that was taken where you can really see my outfit!
It was a really lovely day and it didnt rain! Which was a bonus, as I probably would of cried if I got my hair wet. As for my hair I just put two plaits in the front like I normally do. I wore only my owl earrings from Primark, and a few bangles. I wanted to keep it really simple. I also took my little briefcase that I got from Primark for £8.00. It kept all my bits and bobs in and I felt that it went well with the outfit.

This is a picture Ry took when we were about to go for a quick shopping spree in Gloucester. I'm wearing my £12 primark chunky winter cardigan! Its so snuggly..

Thanks for my 10 followers.. wasn't expecting 1! Let alone 10 :)
Happy girlie..

I also wanted to sneak a little photo of my puppy Pippa. She is getting bigger now.. and I know I mentioned her in my first blog so thought I should keep up to date with it.

& my dress was from Misguided if you wanted to know.
